Why We Love It
1. Charm. Cape Cods are always appealing to the eye and they immediately remind you of the charm and character so commonly found in homes this era. Nothing is more characteristic of these older homes than the wood flooring with beautiful trim accents; the beauty is hard to match. These floors add instant warmth to the rooms and you know when you see them that each mark and color variation comes with its own story.
2. Location. You are literally minutes from Clintonville, which is one of my favorite go to spots when I have a free day. Coffee shops, farm to table restaurants, and unique stores like Elm & Iron make this a go-to for anyone in the area. You are also really close to The Ohio State University.
3. Price. In today's market, it is hard to find a nice home, that doesn’t need a lot of work, for under $115,000. Your mortgage here can actually be cheaper than most rent! If you are an OSU student, this is perfect because you are just short commute away.
What You Need To Know
This house squeezes a lot of living space into its square footage and has great curb appeal. There is an extra long driveway that leads to the one car garage on the back of the property so there is tons of parking. You can enter the home from the side door of the front door.
Entry Level: When you walk through the front door, you are greeted by warm hardwood floors with beautiful white trim. The living room has a large picture window and the space is big enough but still cozy... all at the same time.
The kitchen is to your left where there is plenty of space for an eat-in table. The space has trendy black cabinets and a window overlooks the luscious backyard.
On the other side of the home is where you will find two of the three bedrooms. The first bedroom is carpeted and has really cool paneled walls. They remind of the shiplap that Joanna Gaines uses all the time.
The other bedroom has hardwood flooring and a ceiling fan.
The full bathroom has been remodeled with beautiful ceramic tile on the floors and coordinating ceramic tile in the tub/shower area. I love the vanity with its bowl-top sink; it gives the old home a new look.
Second Level: I am not sure if you have ever been in a Cape Cod before... but this is why I love them! The second level is always a great space with interesting angles. There are two closets up here and a large space that could be a large third bedroom, workout space, or craft area. The same hardwood that is downstairs is up here too. There is also a secret storage space up here as well!
Lower Level: The basement is in good shape! There are a couple partially finished areas and tons of space for storage. Your washer and dryer are found on this level.
Exterior: This is a great space to relax in the evenings. Mature, beautiful landscaping is the perfect backdrop for entertaining or relaxing with a good book! The large one car detached garage is sure to come in handy!
