Why We Love It
1. Facelift. Most Hollywood elites would say, once you get to a certain age, its time to look into getting a facelift. Well, I think the same goes for houses too. This home may have been built in 1965, but with the fresh paint colors, newer surfaces, and beautiful kitchen and bathrooms, it looks like it's in the prime of its life. The bones are still the same but it looks much younger!
2. Location. You are literally within walking distance to all of my favorite places in Grove City! Imagine how cool would it be to be able to bike or walk to Planks and grab ice cream at Capital City Cakes. Downtown Grove City is thriving and its future is very bright; Transcend Coffee, Grove City Brewery, and great boutique shopping such as The Farm Table on 62 are bustling with activity and, according to a recent job posting, Local Cantina is scheduled to open this fall.
3. Master Closet. In older homes, the one thing I have found pretty consistent is the lack of closet space... but just wait until you see how large this master closet is! This walk-in was completely reconfigured and they added space where it was needed most. Your wardrobe will thank you for it.
What You Need To Know
This completely remodeled 4-level split is tucked away on a quiet street in the heart of Grove City. Situated on a corner lot, it has great curb appeal and a side-load garage. This is a great floor plan that has room for everyone.
First Level: When you walk in, the living room is to your right. You'll find that the original hardwood floors here carry into the dining room as well. The space is roomy and allows for an oversized couch, recliner, or sectional.
The dining room is large enough to have a farmhouse table and it connects to the kitchen.
The kitchen has been completely reconfigured. The space is huge and would be a perfect place to add an island. I love the two-tone cabinets and the way they go perfectly with the white counters and the subway tile backsplash. The stainless steel appliances, deep basin sink, faucet, and updated lighting are great additions as well.
In case you missed it when you walked in, the powder room was across the foyer from the living room. It's really nice and looks like it should be on the cover of “Shabby Chic Digest”. It is soooo pretty! The mirror, the chandelier, and wainscoting are the perfect combination!
Lower Level: The family room is open from the kitchen. Wrought iron balusters and step take you down to this lovely space that is centered around the white-washed brick fireplace with trendy mantle. This is a great space that is very cozy!
There is a back door that leads to the backyard and a door that leads you to the garage.
Upper Level: The staircase tends to be a focal point in a home, so why not make it pretty! This staircase is really the heart of the home. It is the perfect combination of new and old, trendy and charming! I love the hardwood treads and with white risers!
All three of the bedrooms are spacious and have the original hardwood floors.
The owner's suite has a huge walk-in closet with a built-in closet system. The bathroom has a new vanity, mirror, stand up shower and toilet.
The guest bathroom also has a brand new vanity, mirror and light fixture, and it looks beautiful!
Basement: There is a door in the two-car garage that leads you down to the basement. This is unique and I must say, it makes a ton of sense! If you are are working in the garage, you can go straight downstairs to the laundry area. No more excuses when tracking mud in the home! This space is very large and functional.
Exterior: Because this home is on a corner lot, the side yard on both sides tend to be as big as the backyard, if not bigger! That is quite convenient if outdoor living is important to you! There is also a large storage shed in the side yard.
This is a charming home in the heart of Grove City!
