Why We Love It

1. The Extras. From the 6-panel doors throughout the house to the tray ceiling in the dining room, this home has the little things that go a long way. The wood trimmed columns refine the dining room, the vaulted ceiling in the great room adds visual interest, and the island in the kitchen is large enough for additional seating. If extra room is what you're after, the two closets in the loft make it easier to finish into a 4th bedroom and there is a full basement as well.

2. Location. Mariner's Cove... where Polaris Mall is just a few minutes away, grocery shopping is a 4-minute drive, and Hoover Reservoir or Alum Creek state park are nearby. Ever wondered what a $1.6 million playground looks like? Walk on over to Millstone Creek Park and check it out for yourself (you won't be disappointed).

3. Corner Lot. The size of this corner lot allows a little more breathing room between you and your neighbors. The best part about having a corner lot is that you can fit a sideloading garage. I've always thought homes look so much nicer when the driveway and garage door are on the side, leaving the entire width of the front to be lawn, landscaping, and architectural detail.

 You Need To Know

Follow the sidewalk from the driveway to this great front porch. Add some patio furniture or a swing and enjoy the sounds and smells of a summer thunderstorm from this covered perch.

First Floor: When you enter the home, you'll see an office/den on your left. It’s currently used as a playroom but I’ve also seen these rooms used for an extra TV, a game room, workout room, craft room, or even just a quiet reading space.

The large half bath is right next to the office and a door to the full basement is close by as well.

To the right of the front door is the formal dining room. With columns that have beautiful wood trim, a tray ceiling, and plenty of windows, this is a great place to have a meal or just sit and talk with guests. Looking straight up you can see the open loft area.

Continue ahead into the expansive great room with vaulted ceilings that show the other side of the loft area. This room gives you plenty of open space for entertaining, as the view is open into the kitchen... or it allows for a more intimate feel when you just want to cozy up to the fire.

In the kitchen, you’ll find a large pantry, large island, and a large space for eating. Pendant lighting hangs above the oversized island that has space for seating and counters and cabinets wrap around 2 sides. There is another set of cabinets separating the eat=in area from the great room; this space will come in handy when you entertain.

From the kitchen, you can access a first-floor laundry room that is complete with a washbasin, the attached two car garage, as well as the doors leading out back to the patio.

Second Floor: Once you reach the top of the stairs, you’ll find yourself in the loft. If you are in need of a 4th bedroom, this space was designed with that in mind because they already added two closets.

Down the hall, you have two large bedrooms (both have great closets) as well as a full bathroom.

Continue to the end of the hall and you find your owner's suite. This bedroom will hold your king size bed with ease, while still having room for your furniture. Your private bathroom includes a shower, jacuzzi tub, and a walk-in closet. My favorite feature of this ensuite is that it doesn't have a double vanity... it has separate vanities! Ahhhh... just imagine the elbow room and personal storage space for two people. [Plus when I run out of room ... and I will ... I can just start storing stuff on his vanity!]

Exterior: Out on the patio you’ll find that it feels very private, not only because of being a corner lot but also because of the trees along the edge of the property. Grab your book or fire up the grill and enjoy!
