Why We Love It
1. Upgrades. This Margie's Cove home has too many upgrades to count and was designed with elegant taste. The floor to ceiling stone fireplace may be my favorite; it spans two stories making the room feel sophisticated and cozy. Hardwood floors, solid wood six panel doors, granite counters, ceramic back splash, upgraded trim, light fixtures, patio and more.
2. Floor Plan. The 5-Level split is my absolute favorite floor plan and I own one myself, so I can speak from experience. Everyone has a place in this functional and strategic layout. The main level serves as the hub and people tend to disperse from there. Some go down stairs to the more casual TV room, some hang out in the kitchen, and if there are kids, you can send them to the top level so the mess stays up there. In the middle is the owner's suite, so after all the noise and chaos, you have a level for yourself!
3. Backyard. Situated on an oversized lot with a treeline behind you, the yard is big enough for a pickup game of wiffle ball, corn hole, or volleyball. Those on the Injured Reserve (phantom injuries are permitted) can choose to be a spectator from the HUGE two tiered brick paver patio, while sipping on your favorite beverage.
What You Need To Know
Built by Sovereign Homes in 2007, this one owner home is in the upscale neighborhood of Margie's Cove. Centrally located in the heart of Grove City, you are smack dab in the middle of amenities such as bike paths, Mt Carmel hospital, the YMCA, shopping, parks, and more.
You will love this 5-Level Split. As you pull up to the home, you will notice the elongated driveway and 3 car, side load garage. A beautifully landscaped walkway leads you to the front entrance of the home where the front porch awaits as a great place to have morning coffee or evening sweet tea.
Entry Level: As you step inside, you will find a neutral palette of paint and hardwood floors throughout most of the first level. The entrance from the 3 car garage is to the right and the formal dining room (or living room) is to your left. Straight ahead is the great room with its soaring ceilings, stone fireplace, and large windows that span the height of the 2 story wall. The view out the windows is beautiful because it is nice to not have to look in your neighbor's house. If you stand in the great room and look around, you'll see that the house was built around this beautiful space.
The great room opens to the kitchen and informal eating space, giving you a very “open feel”. These owners spared no expense in the kitchen; granite counters span the cabinetry, there is a breakfast bar to pull up stools for a quick snack or to chat with the cook, and notice the upgraded lighting. The cabinets are solid wood with upgraded crown molding and they will even hide the trash and recycling bins. A ceramic back splash blends perfectly with the tones in the kitchen and the under-mount sink was a great choice to pair with the oil rubbed bronze faucet and hardware. The walk in pantry will cut down on your grocery trips.
You will also find a half bath on this level.
Lower Level: Just take a few steps down to a cozy space can be used as a “Man Cave”, playroom, media center, or anything you need! There are two full sized windows to let in tons of natural lighting for your great casual space. The large laundry room is on this level as well. You might even be pleasantly surprised to see a laundry chute... hopefully this will be used for dirty clothes, and not for GI Joe parachuting practice! This space also has convenient cabinets, shelving, and a huge closet.
Owner's Level: Up a few steps from the great room, you will find your Owner's Suite on its very own level! It is nice to be on your own level, tucked away from the rest of the house. This sanctuary features cathedral ceilings, a ceiling fan, and plant ledge. The master bath is a luxurious space with a soaking tub, stand alone shower, solid wood double vanity, and huge walk-in closet.
Upper Level: Up a few more steps, you will find 2 more bedrooms, another full bath, and a huge loft with a large closet. This loft could easily be converted to a 4th bedroom if you have the need. While you are up here, be sure to take a moment to appreciate the view of the great room. It's a wonderful vantage point.
Basement: As if you would need more space :) This is an unfinished portion of the house, perfect for storage.
Yard: As I mentioned earlier, the backyard and patio are huge and you have a nice treeline separating your from the closest neighbor behind you.
