Why We Love It
1. Character. The character of this home starts with the mature trees and older feel of a neighborhood that has been a Grove City favorite for decades... and continues inside with the hardwood floors, crown molding, and custom fireplace surround. You can just feel the difference when you're in a home that has stood the test of time versus a newer home that is trying to create that same aura. The best thing about this home is that you don't have to give up on your modern amenities either (see next line).
2. Kitchen. This is the type of modern kitchen you'd hope for if you were building a brand new home. Cherry cabinetry, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, tile floors, soft close drawers, under cabinetry lighting, canned lights in the ceiling, crown molding, space for your bistro table, and that oh-so-modern shade of blue on the walls. For a moment, you might forget you're in a 60 year old home. This kitchen is simply amazing.
3. Garage. In a neighborhood where many homes have 1-car garages and a number of those were even removed and converted into living space, this 2-car garage is a blessing. You can use it to protect your car from the snow all winter or just use it as a large storage locker for your overflow items and toys. Withe the way the concrete was poured out back, you could even have a little fun with it; raise the door, wheel in the ping pong table or some tables and chairs, and just create one large patio area with some shelter.
What You Need To Know
Built in 1955, this home combines the character we long for with the updates we dream of. From the outside you can see the mature trees, vinyl siding, and updated roof and windows.
Inside, you arrive in the living room with hardwood floors, amazing fireplace, crown molding, and updated lighting. We've seen the space set up for a traditional couch and a sectional and it works both ways. It's a comfortable room and in keeping with some of the convenient modern updates, there is a perfect spot above the fireplace for your TV and even a shelf for its components.
The amazing kitchen awaits just past your eating space. We detailed it thoroughly above so we'll save you some additional reading here... but come on, did you ever think you were going to be able to get a kitchen that nice in this price range?
Past the fireplace and down a hallway is where you'll find all three bedrooms and the updated full bathroom. Upgraded ceiling fans cool each of the rooms and two of the room received crown molding as well.
The full basement has been structurally reinforced with beams and carbon fiber. One half of this level houses the furnace, storage, and washer and dryer. The other half could be pretty easily finished to add more living space if needed.
The backdoor leads to a very large concrete pad between the house and 2-car garage. It could easily be used as your outdoor patio area with plenty of roof left over for Fido to run some laps and get his exercise.
