Why We Love It
1. The Bathrooms. Seriously... when was the last time you walked into a home in this price range and saw bathrooms as nice as these? Corners were not cut and expenses were not spared when our Sellers decided to tackle the remodeling of these spaces. They chose to use materials like marble, glass and ceramic tiles, and granite. They added features like a rain shower, dual heads, built-in soap boxes, and a glass vessel sink bowl. They replaced light fixtures, mirrors, faucets, and even the toilets. They say kitchens and bathrooms are what sell a home; this home definitely has the bathrooms covered. What about the kitchen, you ask?
2. The Kitchen. Quite possibly even nicer than the bathrooms. And just like those bathrooms, this space was completely renovated with quality and style at the forefront. Those original cabinets from the builder? Gone... and replaced with beautiful white cabinetry equipped with soft-close hardware. Once that was done, they obviously had to upgrade the appliances to something that looked as nice as the cabinetry... so they added matching stainless steel from Samsung [including a slide-in style range that is a personal favorite of mine]. The final piece that always ties a kitchen together is the counter and back splash; dark granite and light subway tile in our case. Perfect. Want more? Check out the bling supplied by the coordinated light fixtures... and the gorgeous hardwood floors (multi-colored Brazilian Teak - or Cumaru, to be precise) that cover the entire first floor.
3. The Location. What do you like best about the location of this home? The fact that it sits in the back corner of the neighborhood where you have a view of trees and a large retention pond that sit adjacent to the development... Or the fact that you're only a few moments away from dining, shopping, parks, and freeway access... Or the fact that your new neighborhood is located in on of those pockets that feed into Hilliard schools but have a Columbus tax base?
What You Need To Know
Located in The Village at Hilliard Green, this home is a 2-story free standing condo. This gives you the best of both worlds... a place that looks and feels like a single family home, but comes with the low maintenance exterior of a condominium. No pushing a mower for you.
First Floor: Step in from the covered front porch and allow yourself a moment to really take in this first impression. The Cumaru floors, the custom built cabinets around the fireplace, the cool grey walls with crisp white trim, the modern ceiling fan... no detail was overlooked or undervalued.
A coat closet is located to your left and the updated powder room is adjacent to here as well. A glass vessel sink atop a granite counter highlights the space.
The large living room is anchored by the amazing built-ins around the fireplace. There is a ledge for you TV with room behind it for components, speakers, sub woofers, and wires... ensuring that your decorations are highlighted instead of your electronic clutter.
Our homeowners wanted a little more openness between the living room and kitchen so a section of wall was removed at the steps and replaced with and open baluster railing.
We spoke more in depth about the kitchen earlier but we didn't even touch on the fact that it has a rather large area for your table as well. This dining area is well lit thanks to a set of double windows and full glass back door as well.
Located off the kitchen is your laundry room (which also leads to the mechanical closet), under-the-steps storage, and the final door is your pantry.
Second Floor: The carpet up the stairs and into the three bedrooms was replaced fairly recently. The two guest bedrooms are pretty large and both have double closets. I don't think the residents of these rooms will mind sharing the guest bathroom once they see it. A modern ceramic tile was used for the floor and continued around the tub. Glass mosaic tiles add a decorative flair to the space.
Your owner's suite has vaulted ceilings, two separate closets, a decorative ledge... and that amazing en suite. Marble was the stone of choice for this room and the glass accents all around really give it a modern vibe... especially with the curved top of the double vanity. And I'd tell you that the built-in seat was added to the shower for convenience... but let's be honest... it's there so you can be comfortable while soaking every last drop of hot water from the rain head that was installed in the ceiling.
Exterior: A covered porch out front and a concrete patio out back give you options for relaxing outdoors. If you need to stretch your legs a little, there is a large park located just a block away.
