Why We Love It

1. Kitchen. Put brand new white cabinetry, black stainless steel appliances, and granite counter tops into any kitchen and they look nice. But put them into a 1950's built brick ranch and something about it makes it even nicer. I don't know if it's the stark contrast to the original feel of the home, or if it's just unexpected, or something else all together... but I love it. If your budget doesn't fit a huge chef's kitchen, you might as well make the footprint you have beautiful. This... is beautiful.

2. Floors. The home's original hardwood floors run through the living room and bedrooms. They have been recently sanded and refinished with a very nice, warm stain. You may have to do a double take when you see them because they look so nice that they don't appear to be over 50 years old. We also really like the way they look set against the clean white trim and modern grey walls.

3. Basement. The great thing about the size of the ranch homes in this neighborhood is that you don't waste any space. These aren't your McMansions that take way to long to keep clean. That said, it's always nice to have a little extra living space in a finished basement where you can be a little more comfortable. Right at the bottom of the basement steps is another 220 square feet room that you can utilize as a family room, rec room, media center, etc. The way it's laid out still allows you to have plenty of storage in 2 other areas of the basement... but keep it out of sight.

What You Need To Know

Note: this is a real estate agent owned home.

In the High Meadows neighborhood, this home has everything... quality updates, great neighborhood/location , and a large backyard. This neighborhood was the  place to be in the 50’s and 60’s and has maintained that charm to this day. The homes are all custom built with great quality.

As you walk into the front door you enter the living room which has a wood burning fireplace. This is where you will get the first view of the fantastic wood floors. A large window to the front brings in natural light. Make sure to take a second look at the front door while you're here because it's not your standard door.

Down the hallway are three bedrooms and 1½ baths. The master bedroom has it’s own  ½ bath that was completely updated. The full bath has also been totally updated including ceramic floors, new vanity, and the tub/shower features subway tile with a lovely accent tile.

Going back through the living room, you find the kitchen. WOW! This kitchen has been updated with new cabinets, new appliances, granite counter tops, subway tile back splash, and quality flooring that is waterproof.

Proceeding to the full basement you will first pass through the newly updated recreation room. This room has plenty of space for entertaining or it can make a great ManCave. There still  is room for storage on this half of the basement and the other half of the basement is home for laundry, new water heater, furnace that is only 2 years old (so is the AC) and lots of storage space.

Outside there is a detached 2 car garage and a large backyard. You have plenty of room to play games or just relax under the mature trees that provide great shade.

The home has also been freshly painted and insulation was added to the attic.
