Why We Love It
1. Kitchen. Put brand new cabinets, counter tops, appliances, and back splash into any kitchen and it looks nice... but put them into a brick ranch built in the 1960s and something about it just stands out! This beautiful kitchen even has a large opening in the wall to provide a line-of-sight into the living room, opening up the floor plan a bit. If your budget doesn't fit a huge chef's kitchen, it doesn't mean you can't make sure the footprint you do have attractive. This one isn't just attractive... it's amazing.
2. Floors. The home's original hardwood floors have been recently sanded and refinished with a very nice, warm stain and they run through the living room and bedrooms. You may have to do a double take when you see them because they look so nice that they don't appear to be over 50 years old. We also really like the way they look set against the clean white trim and modern grey walls.
3. Backyard. Out back there is a patio, an extra large shed, and plenty of room to entertain or just relax. I can see myself stretched out in a hammock under the tree, enjoying my favorite drink... and my favorite book. The shed has plenty of room to hold your yard tools and still room to set up your own work-area.
What You Need To Know
Located in the Holly Hill neighborhood, this home has everything... many updates, lots of charm, and a great backyard. An all brick ranch home, this is your traditional 1960’s suburban neighborhood and it has been updated to TODAY’s charm and style.
As you walk up to the house you see the home has a new roof and brand new windows; that will lower your energy bills!
Stepping thru the new front door, you enter the living room. This is where you will get the first view of the fantastic wood floors and your first glimpse of the kitchen. The large window to the front faces south which brings in natural light. The home has also been freshly painted.
Straight through the living room, you will find the kitchen. AWESOME! This kitchen has been updated with new cabinets, new appliances, countertops, ceramic tile backsplash, and flooring.
Down the hallway are three bedrooms each has re-finished wood flooring and closet organizers. The doors have been replaced with six-panel doors.
The full bath has also been totally updated including new floors, new double vanity, and the tub/shower features subway tile with a lovely accent tile.
The great thing about full basements in a ranch home is that it can almost double your living space. This space could be converted into a rec room, work out area, hobby room, mans cave, playroom, or even a media center... it is an empty palette. The way it's laid out still allows you to have plenty of storage in other areas of the basement but keep it out of sight. The basement is also home for the laundry and boasts a new water heater, new furnace (and air conditioner), and lots of storage space.
Heading out the back door, you find a totally fenced in backyard. There is a concrete patio and a large shed that is almost as big as a one car garage. It has plenty of room to hold your yard tools and still room to set up your own work area. There is still enough room in the yard to have recreational items to entertain family and friends, or just relax.
