Why We Love It
1. The Backyard. This one was pretty easy :) This isn't the backyard you typically pull up to when looking for Grove City homes under $160,000. The in ground pool, the lush landscaping, the patio, and the screened-in porch make this one of the best backyards we've ever seen for the money. This personal retreat is the perfect place to unwind after work and enjoy with your friends on the weekend.
2. The Extra Parking. With all that company you'll be having over on the weekends, you'll come to appreciate the extra parking in your driveway. With a 2 car garage and the full driveway, Hoover Rd. won't be a problem for you and your guests because you could park 9 cars in there. Assuming each car carried 2 or 3 people when they came, you might want to pick up a few more packs of hot dogs for the grill... because that's a lot of people.
3. The Feeling. I know we haven't touched on the inside of the home yet... but you're going to like it too. The Sellers have made some layout changes and we love how the home "feels". It's a floor plan you've seen before but you can just sense that little things are different. The front living room has a little "office nook". The dining room's sliding glass doors and a full kitchen window create one big space with the patio. Original hardwood floors bring character to the bedrooms. And the painted rafters in the basement create a cool industrial feel.
What You Need To Know
This is your not-so-typical version of the typical 2-story home.
First Floor: A tile entryway greets you at the door and gives way to the hardwood floors of the front living room on your left. The room is large enough to suit multiple functions and we love the small nook created on the back wall. Use it to decorate, use it to hide daily clutter, or use it for both like our current homeowner.
A central dining room awaits at the end of foyer and the sliding glass doors look out to the patio and pool. We don't envision this so much as a formal dining area but more of a central gather space. Withe the kitchen to the left, family room to the right, and patio right outside, it's the perfect spot to sit and feel connected to everyone.
The kitchen isn't the largest we've seen but it's certainly efficient and well thought out. A portion of the counter space was even lowered to fit around a full window, which makes dining al fresco that much easier.
You pass the half bath on the way to the family room. This is a great space for your comfy couch and TV because with the screened-in porch right outside the sliding glass doors, you can keep the doors open and enjoy the breeze and sounds from the pool while you catch up on the DVR.
Second Floor: At the top of the steps is your full bathroom that has access to the hallway as well as your master bedroom.
The hallway and all 3 bedrooms have hardwood floors, white trim, and modern paint colors. Each room is generous in size and provide ample closet space.
Basement: A portion of the basement has been finished into a flex room. My thought son this space: 1) You can never go wrong with the Buckeye theme. 2) Love the ceiling. 3) Solid surface flooring was a practical choice. 4) You could use it for almost any purpose. 5) There is still room for storage.
Backyard: I spoke about this wonderful space above but it's worth noting again. The screened-in porch will be a great spot to relax at night without swatting at mosquitoes... and the rest of the patio and pool areas speak for themselves. Be sure to take note of how mature the landscaping is because that plays an important role of the private feeling you have back here.
Come see the home today... and enjoy it for years to come!
