Why We Love It
1. Details. When viewing a 7,644 square foot home with five bedrooms, five full and two half baths, a walkout basement, and multiple levels of outdoor living on a ⅔ acre lot in a golf course community, you're likely to miss a detail or two... so I thought I'd point a few out. Obviously, a home of this caliber will have finishes like granite countertops, hardwood floors, and soaring ceilings, but some details that might not be quite as obvious are: a double-sided fireplace, Swarovski Crystal pulls at the dining room bar, a custom range hood made of concrete, the doggie bath, heated tile floors in the owner's suite, coffered ceilings, a movie screen that works inside the basement or outside on the patio at the push of a button, refrigerated drawers for extra storage, Electrolux appliances, Softscape outdoor lighting, and our personal favorite... the built-in coffee maker. There are so many amazing details in this home that you'll discover a new favorite every month or so.
2. Made for Memories. Telling jokes while standing around the kitchen island. Deep conversations with a bottle of wine in the dining room. A big crowd, for the big game, on the big screen. Catching up on the couch in the great room. Eating s'mores around the fire pit on backyard movie night. Flipping burgers while watching an intense game of bocce right below you. Smiling from ear to ear as the kids have a dance party on their "stage" downstairs. Reminiscing with an old friend at the kitchen table. Drinks, board games, and too many laughs around the table in the basement. Throwing a party so large that your guests are spread across the entire first floor, lower level, patio, and deck. Wishing them all safe travels before cuddling next to the fireplace for the rest of the night... the clean up can wait until tomorrow.
3. The Architecture. Built by Dani Homes for the 2007 BIA Parade of Homes, this Tuscan-inspired estate is one of the most visually stunning homes you'll find. Architectural features common to this romantic Italian style include the stone and stucco exterior, multiple balconies with wrought iron railings (both front and back), a low-pitch roof line (and that's a brand new roof), extensive landscaping, brick paved walkway, and the remarkable archway above the front door. In an exclusive neighborhood of custom homes, this is a home that has always stood tall.

What You Need To Know
The first thing you need to know about this home is that, even though I'm quite longwinded, I won't be able to fully describe all of its features here. But knowing that this is a home you should experience rather than be told about, I think you'll forgive me once you step into the home for yourself.
Pinnacle Estates: Considered the crown jewel of Grove City, this golf course community was home to the 2007 BIA Parade of Homes and this particular home was featured by Dani Homes on that tour. The homes of Pinnacle Estates were custom designed by select high-end builders and build prices generally range from the $500,000s to over $1,000,000.
This home sits just a short walk from the large clubhouse of Pinnacle Golf Club, which is also home to Cimi's Bistro and its amazing patio dining options. Pinnacle is a private course, designed by Lanny Wadkins, that has been named as one of the best courses in Ohio.
From your new home, you can be standing on the first tee box in just a few shorts seconds or walking the streets of downtown Columbus in a mere 15 minutes.
First Floor: When your guests first step through the stately front doorway and into the foyer, it's likely they will take a moment to pause and admire this stunning view of your home... the large chandelier hanging from the soaring ceiling, large windows, dark hardwood floors, stone pillars, and wrought iron balusters climbing up to the second-floor catwalk... it never disappoints.
The dining room sits to your immediate left. In this open floor plan, your formal space is visually separated by the custom painted ceiling and walls, a chandelier, crown molding, and the stone columns defining its footprint. A beautiful cabinet with sink between here and the kitchen creates a great space for a bar or to display your fine china.
Just a few steps further into the home is where you'll find the captivating great room. Floor-to-ceiling windows surround the double-sided fireplace and pull your eye up to the coffered ceiling. In an effort to anchor this enormous space, the homeowners designed and commisioned an Amish-built shelving unit for the room's largest wall. The scale is spot on and the finished product helps create a very comfortable feeling in a very large room... which is not always easy to pull off.
Connected to both the dining room and great room is the incredible kitchen. This culinary utopia features high-end appliances, a glass tile backsplash that climbs to the ceiling, a pot-filler spout over the Electrolux gas range, hand-picked lighting fixtures, plantation shutters, dual sinks, and more. The extra-large island provides seating for anyone wanting to chat as dinner is being prepared.
Just adjacent to the kitchen is a large mudroom that has direct access to the walk-in pantry and the three car garage. There is even a special shower, designed just for Fido, located here.
Head across the great room and you'll find a wing of the home that provides more privacy. A large den with built-in shelving is located at the start of a hallway that also leads to your owner's suite, a powder room, laundry room, and another first-floor bedroom/living room option that has its own full bathroom.
We'll focus our attention here on your owner's suite... and you can explore the other noted rooms in the photos and tour.
Double doors open into this amazing ensuite that features a stylish crystal chandelier, soft carpet, a private door out to the deck, and enough space for a quiet sitting area. A second set of double doors lead to your private bathroom where you'll find heated floors, individual vanities, a large soaking tub beneath a fireplace, and an enormous custom shower with multiple shower heads and a stone wall. Both the bedroom and bathroom are directly connected to your dressing room complete with custom storage.
Second Floor: Atop the stairs, a catwalk that overlooks the foyer and great room. On each end of this catwalk, you'll find two more bedrooms. Both of these rooms has its own full bathroom, a large closet, and private front and rear balconies.
Walkout Level: Journey down the stairs leading to the lower level and you'll be amazed as it opens to reveal such a large and well-lit space. More than half of this level is dedicated to a large, open living area with multiple zones.
You'll immediately notice that the carpet gives way to hardwood floors laid upon a slightly elevated platform. Not only does the platform give definition to this particular entertaining area, but it also makes for a fantastic dance floor (as our homeowners' grandchildren can attest to). This elevated area is where you'll find a large bar (with dishwasher, microwave, wine fridge, and sink), access to the powder room, wine cellar storage, and enough space to add a table or two.
Next to the bar, you'll find a seating area for the overhead projector. Because this zone drops back down to the carpeted level, those sitting on the platform level will still be able to see the screen; perfect for large parties. The projector screen for this area was fitted to the dimensions of the picture window behind it... so with the push of a button, the aspect of the projector can switch directions, allowing you to take movie nights out under the stars.
There is still enough room in the open living space of the basement to create a couple of sitting areas or bring in a pool table for some game night fun.
A back corner of this level was reserved for yet another bedroom with its own full bathroom. The kicker here is that this bedroom also gets a small living room and there is an adjacent room where you can add a kitchenette or second laundry room. This corner is perfect for those looking to add an in-law suite, hosting out-of-town guests, or for that college student who isn't quite ready to leave the nest yet.
Outdoor Space: As is customary with Tuscan-style homes, there is an abundance of outdoor living spaces here.
The front of the home has a large walkway leading up to matching porches on each side of the front door. There are second story balconies above each of the porches.
The large upper deck on the back of the home can be accessed from the kitchen or the owner's suite. The wood decking here was entirely replaced a few years ago and low-maintenance composite boards were installed in their place. A large pergola covers much of this level, providing shade for the outdoor kitchen, dining area, and seating next to the fireplace that is shared with the great room.
Spiral staircases on each side of the deck will carry you down to the yard and lower patio area.
A few more sitting areas can be found below the deck (also accessed by two sets of sliding glass doors in the basement) but the seating area for the movie screen sits off to the side so you can enjoy the stars while sitting around the fire.
A bocce court awaits just steps out into the yard; giving you a unique option instead of cornhole.
Well placed landscaping surrounds this backyard, creating a much more private atmosphere than you might have imagined. And don't let this irregularly shaped lot fool you, if all this outdoor space has you dreaming of adding a pool, you'll have more than enough room to do so.
