Why We Love It
1. The Updates. This home retains plenty of the charm that comes from homes built in the late 50’s, but the modern updates are amazing. From the tile floors, granite counters, and glass tile back splash in the chef’s kitchen to the ceramic tile shower and flooring in the bathroom... the details are beautiful. But don’t take my word for it, come see for yourself!
2. The Basement. Having a 1-story home with a full basement usually means you have pretty big basement. That's why this home can fit a rec room (complete with laminate floors, a knotty pine bar, and TV space) and separate laundry area on one side... and still have the other half of it dedicated to storage. It's an easy way to gain a lot more square footage than meets the eye.
3. Location. This close-to-everything home is convenient to schools, shopping, restaurants, banks, and parks. You can walk or ride a bicycle to most of them... even during our crazy "Ohio Winters”.
What You Need To Know
Walk up to this 1,160 sq.ft. ranch-style home and the charming red front door greets you with open arms.
As you enter into the extra large living room, you will immediately feel at home. Hardwood floors begin here and are a perfect compliment to the gorgeous stone of the wood burning fireplace. The fireplace has a gas igniter and a large hearth to set your coffee mug on while you cozy up to the fire. There is enough room in this space that you can have cabinets and/or television stand and not feel crowded.
Walk to the left and a hallway will lead you to the bedrooms. The hardwood floors continue in all 3 bedrooms, with nice closets and ceiling fans in each. The bathroom is spacious and was updated with ceramic tile floors and a tile bath surround to add a splash of color. As you brush your teeth (please wait until AFTER you have moved in) you'll notice that the updated sink is larger than most.
Head back down the hallway, and to your left is your gorgeous kitchen. The storage, cabinetry, counters, and style of this space are remarkable. Granite counter tops and pull out shelves in the floor-to-ceiling cabinet area provide all the work and pantry space a chef would need. There’s even built in shelves above the counter to store your cookbooks (those things we used before smartphones). Plus, you still have plenty of room in the cozy table-nook to enjoy your meals with a view to the back yard. Stainless steel appliances, tile back splash, and an undermount sink add the finishing touches to this space.
Next, take a trip down to the basement and get ready to relax. Whether you want to put your bartender cap on and mix some drinks for guests, or keep it kid friendly and serve sodas or ice cream, this bar area is perfect for entertaining. There is enough room for a couch and another television, gaming area, a place to work out; the options are endless. The laundry area is towards the back of the basement (away from the rec room) and provides plenty of space for hanging and folding your clean clothes.
Walk through the doorway and on the other side of the basement you will find tons more storage space. Keep your decorations, tools, arts and crafts, etc on this side - hidden away from the living space.
Finally, head back upstairs and out the door to the back yard that has been completely fenced-in to contain your pets. Sit back and relax on the covered concrete patio, or have a barbecue, either way there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy both.
The extra deep garage provides a little extra storage space as well.
This home is so close to everything you will become spoiled. Within walking distance to schools, restaurants, grocery, banks, parks, and the post office. If convenience is your thing, look no further - this is the home for you!
