Why We Love It

1. Basement. Open concept living is great... except when you have competing noises. Sometimes you just want a separate area to retreat to [or better yet... send the other person to] so everyone can enjoy their show, book, toys, etc. This finished basement gives you the option of another living or recreation area, plus a separate room for an office, plus another separate room that could be a bedroom since it has an egress window, plus plenty of room for storage. Make this level all yours... or send everyone down here so you can keep that gorgeous great room clutter free.

2. Park View. I don't know how many acres that community park is across the street... but it's big. It's separated into 2 parts; one side is completely wide open and the other has a natural feel with ponds and trees. You are right across for the open side so you can literally just sit on your front porch and watch the kids on playground, playing football, flying kites, tossing Frisbee, whatever... at least they're outside! A path runs around the perimeter of the park, so you can take the scenic route by the trees and ponds as you walk over to the community swimming pool located on the other side.

3. Carpet & Paint. There are two projects that we hear new homeowners say they want to complete before they move into their homes; flooring and paint. I've seen both sides of this myself: 1) We painted our home before moving into it so we wouldn't have to keep moving everything out of the way. It was torture... we just wanted to move into our new home! 2) We replaced flooring after we moved in. It was torture... we constantly had to move everything! No torture for you here because this home has brand new carpet and fresh paint waiting for you already.

What You Need To Know

It all starts out front with that beautiful view of the park across the street. There is no excuse not to get outside and enjoy the fresh air when you live in this home. Take a walk, fly on the swings, have a picnic, play some wiffleball, do some fishing, get a tan at the pool... you don't need to get into the car to do any of it.

First Floor: You step into the great room from the front porch. There is a thoughtful area for wet/dirty shoes and jackets as you enter and it is sectioned off with some built-in shelves. It's a perfect place to toss those shoes when you come in (do you really want to keep yelling about your brand new carpet?) without having to actually look at a pile of shoes as you relax on the couch.

This great room is the perfect gathering spot. It's big, it's open to the kitchen/dining/loft, has vaulted ceilings, and windows looking out toward the park. It will easily accommodate large parties, movie nights, or just quiet evenings.

The dining room has a nice laminate floor and can be used for your formal table, another sitting area, or it could fit a couple of desks and be utilized as an office/media center. I've seen it... I know how flexible it can be.

You can access the kitchen from the dining or great rooms. I always liked the layout of the kitchen in this floor plan because the functional half of the kitchen is centered around an island with the space for a table tucked into the back a little further. It gives the dinner table a little more intimate feel.

Your powder room and laundry are located beyond the extra cabinets of the eat-in space.

Second Floor: At the top of the stairs you'll find your owner's suite. With vaulted ceilings, your private bathroom, a walk-in closet, and an even better view of the park, this isn't a bad place to wake up to in the morning :-)

You'll pass another full bathroom and two more bedrooms on your way to the loft. I love the open balusters looking down to the great room, but if you're in a pinch for another bedroom, it wouldn't be hard to convert this space.

Basement: This finished basement adds approximately 408 square feet to your usable living space. There is a main room (about 14' x 15') that would be a great living area, recreation space, or play room, with two separate rooms adjacent. One room could be used as an office and the other can be used as another bedroom because these homeowners added a closet and an egress window.

The other half of the basement was left unfinished for the utilities and to make sure you still have lots of room for storage.

Exterior: A concrete patio sits outside from the kitchen and overlooks your open backyard. It's not a bad place to sit when you need a little change of scenery from the front porch.
