Why We Love It

1. The Acre. An acre within Columbus city limits... it’s real and it’s available. This home is on a double lot and it is set back off the street with mature trees that pleasantly frame the property. And if you think the front yard is big, wait until you take a walk out back. This fenced-in backyard is perfect for your next large gathering. A concrete patio right off the back of the house is perfect to set up the grill, table, and chairs and there are trees providing plenty of shade to sit under while you toss some horseshoes. When the sun goes down, you can retire to the fire pit to roast some marshmallows and tell some of those embarrassing stories we all like to laugh at.

2. Huge Basement. I've said it before and I'll say it again... I love a good basement. This full basement is huge and it is perfect for all your storage needs. There are shelves already in place to stack your seasonal tubs and you'll still have tons of room left over. There is plenty of space for a ping pong table or workout equipment, or if you want a finished living area, some 2x4s and drywall can create a large rec-room to suit your needs..

3. Living Areas. The living areas of this home are pretty unique and large. The living room is spacious with a large window overlooking the front yard. The dining room has a similar view plus hardwood floors and chair rail. Those hardwood floors also continue is the back family room where you also find a fireplace, beamed ceiling, skylight and french doors to the patio. The final living space is the large eat-in kitchen. It runs the depth of the house so you have views of both front and back yards and you have plenty of built in cabinetry as well as a desk.

What You Need To Know

This 1,901 square foot ranch has 3 bedrooms, 2½ baths, and sits on a 1 acre double lot in Columbus, Ohio.

As you turn onto the long driveway, you will notice there is a bump out for guests to park or to turn around before you leave the property. Walking up to the covered front porch, you can look out to see how large the front yard is because of how far the home sits back off the street.

Once inside, you find a large, tile-floored foyer with a coat closet and the perfect spot for a mirror and entry table.

To your left is a generously sized living room with a large picture window. This room is carpeted and can serve either as a formal space (you know... the nice furniture that nobody is actually allowed to sit on) or it could be your common TV area because it is so large.

Across from the living room is where you find the formal dining room. Natural light reflects up from the hardwood floors and this room is so nice that you'll probably use it for much more than just formal dinner nights.

The eat-in kitchen can be accessed from either the dining room or the family room. It's so large that you will have no problems fitting a casual table and there is built-in cabinetry everywhere. The tile floors make for easy clean ups after the occasional Kool-Aid or spaghetti sauce spills. You can also access the laundry area, basement, half bath, 2 car garage, and backyard from here.

Your family room is very cozy. The warm look of the hardwood floors, leads up to the brick hearth fireplace, which leads up to wood beams and skylight on the ceiling. This my favorite room of the house.

Down a hallway is a full bathroom that's shared by the two spacious guest bedrooms. At the end of the hall is the owner's suite with walk-in closet and an additional entrance to the backyard.

The full basement is huge. As I mentioned above, you have plenty of space for all your storage needs and even fit a ping pong table and your workout equipment.

The fenced-in backyard speaks for itself. You and your guests can play, garden, dine, relax, all at the same time. There is room to do all of those at the same time without even interfering with each other. You have a shed for storing your lawn equipment, a concrete patio, horseshoe pit, fire pit, and plenty of trees to offer shade.
