Why We Love It
1. Kitchen. The wide open kitchen will most likely be your favorite space in the home. The flow of this layout makes entertaining a breeze and there is plenty of space for your guests to chip in and give you a hand. The island serves many different things; a gathering space, providing extra cabinet and working space, it has an overhang for bar stools, and even has an electrical outlet for your mixers or crockpot. This kitchen has an abundance of cabinetry, drawer, and counter space. We often see that pantry size gets overlooked in kitchen design - it's one of those things that is an afterthought - but you won't have that worry here because it is a double pantry! Take special note of the custom light fixtures that are so different, yet go together so nicely and I would definitely keep that chalkboard wall! How fun! You can use it for your shopping list, weekly menu, or better yet...a chore chart! The sliding glass door brings in tons of natural lighting!
2. Master Suite. The term "master suite" implies that the space is more than just a master bedroom and bathroom. It is a place that, with close attention to detail in the design, is a space of your own which allows you to retreat, rest, and revive in today's busy world. This master bedroom makes the most of its wide expanse and high ceilings to liven up the space. The restful palette of the paint and carpet will contribute nicely to your decor of choice. I'd suggest HOUZZ.com for some inspiration, or better yet... this Seller has great taste that speaks to my personal preferences! Just copy them :-) The master bathroom is a place of peace and solitude; this soaking tub invites you to light some candles, slip away from the rest of the world, and grab an hour for yourself to relax. The separate stand alone shower adds convenience to your busy mornings, along with the double vanity. The double cabinets provide convenient storage as well. You will love the walk in closet!
3. Loft. Up the open staircase, to your left is the open loft that overlooks the great room. In the building process, this area was the optional 4th bedroom, which could easily be done, if needed. The loft is a fun space that has changed roles for these folks. It has been a music room, a play room, and a craft room. It is a great space that can be whatever you want it to be.
What You Need To Know
Welcome to this beautiful home on Powder Ridge Rd! This is a favorite floor plan for many in this area and my Sellers hate to leave. As you arrive, you might get that "it just feels like home" vibe... so be prepared. The front porch is the perfect space to scour the aisles at Pier One for all of their new outdoor furniture so you can sit and relax with a book or chat with your neighbors.
"Easy on the Eyes" is the perfect combination of"comfort" meets "industrial trendy" meets"functionality". It's the kind of home the market typically begs for. Open the front door and you will be taken aback by the two story great room with soaring ceilings. It is large, open, and gives you many different options for furniture arrangement. The great room subtly flows to another area with the fireplace as the focal point, where the transom window above it add to the openness. This space could serve as part of your great room, it could fit a large dining room table, or maybe you have always wanted to build a library...the option is yours.
On into the spacious kitchen... In my opinion, this is the highlight of the house. I am definitely going to have to ask the Seller where she got her light fixtures. They add an element of industrial art deco, bringing such character and definition to the room. As I mentioned above, there is tons of cabinetry and counter space and enough room for everyone!
You will also find a convenient first floor laundry room tucked around the corner (so you won't be distracted while the washer is in the spin cycle), a half bath, the entrance the garage, and steps down to the partial basement will be found here as well.
Upstairs we go... The neutral palette of paint continues to the upper level. Upstairs you have the large loft to your left, with an open staircase that overlooks the great room. The chalkboard wall gives this space a very laid back and fun feel to the room. Up here you will also find 3 bedrooms and both full baths; the master suite is at the end of the hall and the 2 other bedrooms are in between. Be sure to notice the very cool and unique light fixtures and large closets in each room.
The backyard is a great outdoor space. Of course, with the weather breaking, you will be able to enjoy it even more. Centex is still building in this neighborhood, so this is a great time to by an existing house, as the new builds increase your equity. The residents of this neighborhood really love it here. You are in very close proximity to shopping and freeways as well. I hope you have as much fun touring this home as I did!
