Hoover Crossing -- SOLD

SOLD   5 Bed | 3½ Bath | 3,680 SqFt (approx. living space)

Why We Love It

1. Size. Over 3,600 finished square feet in this awesome home! The huge formal living room is larger than most family rooms and there are 5 large bedrooms. How often do you see a true 5 bedroom house for sale? There are not many. Though it is large in size, there is still a welcoming intimacy to every corner of the home, making it a retreat for day to day life and a remarkable setting for large-scale entertaining.

2. The Basement. This place is awesome... I mean c'mon, it feels more like a speakeasy than a basement! Did you see that sweet little bar tucked away by the steps? Professionally finished with tons of built-ins and tons of possibilities. You can do as they did; have your very own pub, TV nook, billiards room, and workout space... or you could create a theater room, craft space, play room, or whatever else you need. There is already a full bathroom down here as well.

3. Hoover Crossing. I remember growing up in Grove City and watching them break ground for this neighborhood. I watched the homes being built, the moving trucks come in, and watched the residents make it into one of Grove City's favorite neighborhoods. I have always loved Hoover Crossing! It is in walking distance to both Grove City High School and Grove City Christian School for Football Friday Nights, and Murfin Fields which is where many of Grove City's extracurricular activities are held. Hoover Crossing boasts beautiful homes, mature trees, large lots, tidy landscapes, and a couple ponds.

What You Need To Know

Welcome to this beautiful Hoover Crossing home. As you pull up, notice the irrigated green grass (in the winter) and the impressively landscaped front beds. Another unique thing about this neighborhood is that each home has its own architectural charm and detail. This one has several peaks to create dimension and a brick facade to accent. The many windows lengthen the home and allow natural light to flow; the bay window being the focal point.

Entry Level: Come on in! When you first step inside, you will arrive in a large foyer with ceramic tile flooring. To your right is a den with french doors. This room is tucked away to give you the privacy you need while you work; perfect for a home office. To your left, you will find a huge living room with a beautiful bay window. I would put pillow down, and make that my reading nook or my quiet coffee spot in the morning. The room flows nicely into the formal dining room. The tray ceiling, chair rail and chandelier are all beautiful accents to this space. This dining room sits right off the kitchen, making dinner parties a breeze.

The cook of the home will love this large kitchen. There is plenty of counter and cabinet space to store all of your kitchen aides and toaster ovens. The island is large and serves a great gathering spot and provides an additional cooking space. There is even an electrical outlet if you need to plug in a crockpot or use your mixer! Brilliant!

The sunken family room and high ceilings enhance height and space while over-sized windows draw in abundant natural light. The fireplace is accented with brick that goes from the floor to the ceiling. This cozy space is the perfect place to relax after a good meal and overlook your beautiful backyard! There is also first floor laundry and a half bath on this level.

Upstairs: 5 bedrooms…5 LARGE bedrooms!! Did I say that this house is massive?!? As you walk up the steps and turn the corner, directly on your left is the 5th bedroom. It could also be used as a bonus room. This will most likely be the room that others fight over (May I suggest rock, paper, scissors... or you could flip a coin). This room is off, away from the others. On the other side of the house is where you will find the Master Suite and the other four bedrooms. The Master Suite is the kind that dreams are made of! The cathedral ceilings slope down to where a sitting nook has been carved out. Who doesn't love a luxurious master bath? Soaring ceilings, garden soaking tub, separate shower, dual sinks, linen closet, and a large walk-in closet! The other three bedroom are all large, with large closets as well.

Basement: Welcome to the Dunmann Pub! This professionally finished basement does not feel like a basement, it feels like you walked into your very own sports pub complete with a full bath! No need to go out, have your friends over for game nights, pool league, or card club! You'll be hosting March Madness at your house every year.

As you walk down the steps, there is a large room to your right that is perfect for a sectional and a TV or two. To your left is the larger main space and they've made great use of every inch. There are features like the bar tucked away next to the steps, a pub table built into one of the pillars, beautiful cabinets along the back wall, room for a pool table and card table, and your full bathroom. You can practice your bartender skills behind the bar while your guest practice letting you be their bartender. All of the spaces are tied together by the exposed, painted ceiling with can lights throughout.

It won't take too many weekends of pints and pizza down here to appreciate that there is also another area that these sellers have chosen to turn into a gym. Make your New Year's Resolution even easier…. no need to leave the house for those workouts.

Worried about storage? Don't be…there is a small crawl space and a great storage area under the steps!

Exterior: This backyard is a serene location that will extend your living area outside. The large deck and large paver patio will give you plenty of space for cookouts. The built in fire pit is the perfect way to wind the evening down while the mature landscape and trees add plenty of privacy.

The roof was installed in 2015, AC in 2015, and hot water tank in 2010.
