Why We Love It

1. Lot. In my opinion, this is one of the best lots in Holt Park. You have the best of both worlds as the home is situated at the end of the street, tucked away in the back of the neighborhood, next to the overflow parking (Sellers say it's rarely used). Being on the corner means that you have a huge lot and there is the cutest, picture perfect, white picket fence in the back. So, in a nutshell, you have the benefits of living in this wonderful neighborhood, with wonderful neighbors, but have a HUGE yard that sits next to the huge tree lined parking lot. This space is a perfect spot to learn bike riding, roller hockey, or a monster game of dodgeball! Your friends will also have plenty of parking!

2. Basement. Most of the homes in Holt Park do not have basements so this is a rare find here! The poured concrete basement is large and can be used for storage or it could easily be finished for some more living space.

3. Flooring Updates. Flooring is one of those home improvement projects that can make the biggest difference. Well…these Sellers updated most of the flooring for you. There is a beautiful, neutral, high-end laminate throughout the first floor. Strategically placing some Wayfair or Pottery Barn area rugs will really define each space (as you can see). Upstairs, the carpet is comfy and cozy!

What You Need To Know

Holt Park is such a charming community! It has the feel of that picture perfect neighborhood in the movies. The homes are similar, yet have their own character. The community has many amenities for you to enjoy; a pool, fitness center, clubhouse, playground, and a pond. On any given day, you can find a neighbor joy riding in a golf cart with their pup riding shotgun or neighborhood kids playing freeze tag at the playground. Like I said above, this home is tucked away at the back of the neighborhood with neighbors only on one side. It is on a corner lot, with a nice side yard. The backyard is large and is enclosed with a cute, white picket fence. The overflow parking lot is on the other side. Since there is no parking on the street, this can come in very convenient if you ever entertain on a large scale. And don't worry; the community will remove the snow when that time comes!

As you approach this home, you are greeted by a full front porch with enough space to allow the Cracker Barrel rocking chairs on one side and one of those cute indoor/outdoor rugs with a porch swing on the other. As you walk in, the formal living room, playroom, or whatever you decide to use it as is to your left. Two large windows are the perfect accent! This room leads you into the family room where a vent-less gas fireplace anchors the corner of this large, open room; a perfect space to relax after a hard day at work! The kitchen is a simple area arranged as a combined cooking and eating space. This space blends subtly with the rest of the main-level rooms to enhance the feeling of a united living space. Between the patio sliding glass door and the two windows, natural light fills these rooms. The kitchen has ample cooking and cabinet space. The patio doors lead you to one of the only wooden decks in the neighborhood!

Between the kitchen and the dining room, is a side door, for quick access to the driveway, or the door that your close friends and family use! Coming full circle is the large dining room. There is room for the extra leaf in the table.

The breezeway is where you will find the laundry space that makes doing laundry a breeze…well if there is a such thing! From there, you can either have yet another entrance to the patio or to the two car garage. Another great asset in this home if the extra space above the garage. The steps lead you up to a versatile space. This space can easily be converted to a home office, apartment or just use it as extra storage!

Upstairs we go because this home has a fabulous master suite! When it was built, the builder really used forward thinking! Dual closets, a soaking tub with a huge stand-alone shower, and the toilet behind its own door. When I asked my Seller what she would miss the most, she said her master bathroom! The other two bedrooms are nicely sized with spacious closets.
