Why We Love It

1. Screened Porch

Spend your afternoons in the shade and your evenings in the hot tub, all from the comfort of your screened-in porch. This extension of your living space might just become your favorite spot of the home once you see how private and relaxing it can be when the trees behind you fill back in this spring.

2. Four Beds

Nearly 80% of the homes that sold in Galloway Ridge over the past year topped out at three bedrooms; making this four bedroom home a sight for sore eyes. So, if you can make use of a fourth bedroom, you might want to jump on this one soon because it may be awhile before another one comes up. Especially one with vaulted ceilings and bamboo floors in the owner's suite.

3. Updates

Don't you just love it when someone else spends their time and money (especially the money) on big-ticket updates... and then you get to swoop in and reap the benefits? That's exactly what you'll get here. These homeowners have updated the furnace, air conditioner, kitchen appliances, hot water tank, and fresh paint. And that's just over the past two years! Other upgrades made here include the gorgeous bamboo floors, newer light fixtures, and the addition of the screened-in deck.

What You Need To Know

While driving through the neighborhood, you may have noticed passing by a large park. Galloway Ridge Park is a short walk from your front door and will provide the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs when you have time for a walk.

Pulling up to the home, take note of the covered front porch, tidy landscaping, and mature trees.

First Floor

Upon entering the home, the beautiful bamboo floors will immediately grab your attention. Not only are these floors attractive and extremely tough, but they are also environmentally friendly as bamboo regenerates much faster than traditional hardwoods.

A coat closet and powder room are located on the right side of the home when you enter, while the living room is located on the left.

This living room features a large front window and a fireplace that has been converted to log woodburning. The gas line is still in place (currently capped off) if you would like to convert it back.

Beyond the living room, you'll find the bamboo floors pulling your eye to the dining area. Your table will sit under an updated light fixture with a view out to the back.

The kitchen is open to the dining area and you will notice the flooring transition to something a little friendlier to the occasional spill or splashing of water. Highlights of the kitchen include updated stainless steel appliances (including a gas range), an open space to work, and access to the garage and the basement.

Second Floor

Head upstairs to find all four bedrooms and both full bathrooms. You'll notice the bamboo floors continue in the hallway up here, as well as in the master.

Your owner's suite has vaulted ceilings, a walk-in closet, and a private bathroom.

The three spare bedrooms will share the other full bathroom at the end of the hall.

If you didn't notice, each bedroom comes equipped with a ceiling fan.

Basement

The full basement is clean and ready to handle all of your storage needs.

If you have thoughts of finishing this level into more living space, you'll be excited to know that there is already a rough-in for a half bath and the mechanicals (and washer/dryer) are all located on the other side of the stairs. This way, you have a natural break between the living and storage spaces.

Exterior

The screened-in porch is my favorite area of this home. It is covered with a roof and well-placed trees provide you with a natural screen for privacy.

Whether you're catching up on Instagram with a cup of coffee in the morning, sitting down for a patio-style dinner in the evening, or relaxing in the hot tub at night... this porch provides the perfect setting.

The backyard is home to a few mature trees, a low-maintenance perennial butterfly garden, and even an herb garden to spice up your culinary concoctions.

I also love that the homes behind this home are at the end of a cul-de-sac so they are spaced out a little differently than normal. This creates a more open feeling instead of just staring at a row of homes directly behind you.
