Why We Love It

1. Original Owners

This home was built 60 years ago and has been lovingly cared for by the same owners who filled this home with surprises that you'll love. What we've always noticed in these situations is that while the home may not have the latest decorating trends, when something needed to be updated, it was updated. Take a look at the condition of the kitchen, the bathroom, the windows, roof, concrete driveway, furnace, etc... big-ticket items. Take a peek into the first bedroom and just imagine what the rest of the hardwood floors look like. Now just imagine all the fun you'll have decorating your well cared for home.

2. Exterior Features

This home is like a curb appeal dream come true. It begins with the simple-but-perfect landscaping and all brick exterior in the front and continues with the enclosed patio and deluxe garage in the back. The current owners added a pellet stove in the patio room so they could use the space all year round... but you may find yourself spending more time in the garage. A workshop addition was added to the back of the garage and the garage itself features hidden storage and Nature Stone flooring. In fact, this space is so nice that I could even see someone using it as the ultimate man cave!

3. Two Homes in One

The main level features three bedrooms and one bathroom, plus a living room, dining room, and kitchen. The finished basement adds another living room (with a fireplace) and another potential bedroom, plus a full bathroom, storage, and a kitchenette! So whether you have the need for an apartment-like space in your living arrangement, want the ultimate entertainment level, or just want extra room to cook and host holidays, we've found the perfect home for you.

What You Need To Know

This home is centrally located in Grove City so that you can walk to churches, schools, and the Big Splash... or you can hop on your bicycle and ride over to the Town Center for some fun.

You can't help but appreciate it as you pull up to it. There is a well-manicured lawn, a beautiful brick exterior, and a nice wide concrete driveway leading to the garage in the back.

First Floor

Stepping inside, you arrive in a floor plan that you may know well because it has been popular in this neighborhood for many years.

The living room has a large front window, as well as another one on the side wall, providing natural light. The original hardwood floors are under the carpet and you can get a peek at them in the first bedroom.

There is a dining area between the living room and kitchen, but we've also seen this space set up as an office or a sitting room in similar homes.

The kitchen has been updated with newer flooring, cabinetry, and Corian countertops.

You'll find three bedrooms and a full bathroom down the hallway.

The bathroom has been updated as well and it currently has a walk-in tub that is in great condition. If this does not fit your needs, this might be the perfect opportunity to switch it out for a modern step-in shower.

Basement

Head downstairs to uncover this home's super-secret... the bonus basement.

With some cosmetic changes, this finished basement could become the ultimate entertainment level, an apartment for a roommate, or holiday overflow space.

You'll find room for storage, a full bathroom/laundry room, a kitchenette, a living area with a fireplace, and a separate room that can fit a bed if needed.

The direction this level heads for the next 60 years is all up to you.

Exterior

When you step out the backdoor, you'll realize that you're not actually outside yet. That's because this patio is covered and enclosed... and is my favorite space in the entire home.

As you can see from the furniture and the addition of the pellet stove, this space was used by the original homeowners all year - all weather. The full-window view of this peaceful backyard is just the cherry on top.

When you do get outside, the concrete driveway will lead you to the two-car garage. Nature Stone flooring gives the garage a clean look, as do the sliding doors that hide most of your storage. When I first saw the "beer fridge" in its own little cubby, I could almost hear the banter between friends and neighbors who were "just hanging out in the garage".

But the garage isn't done yet. The door along the back wall leads into a workshop addition. You can still see it in its current woodshop layout but this room can serve many functions.

And still behind the workshop (if you follow the sidewalk to the right of the garage), you'll find a private area for your vegetable garden.
