Why We Love It
Original Hardwood
New homes and old homes alike, I've always been a fan of hardwood floors. But there is always a little something more with those old, original hardwood floors from the 1960s; they have that natural patina that new floors can't match. Every little ding or mark is a badge of honor that it earned from some great story in the past. And you get to add your part of the story to it as well.
Lower Level
You'll find it a little easier to keep the front living room clean because you have a large room just down a few steps and right around the corner. This family room/rec room is large enough to be your main living area unless you have another specific need for it. On this same level, you'll also find laundry, storage, and a half bath.
Covered Patio
You can enjoy your fenced-in backyard - rain or shine - thanks to your covered patio. Step out the sliding glass door from the kitchen and enjoy a little alfresco dining all summer long; without having to worry about the evening sun beating down on you. But when you're ready to soak in a few of those rays, you can move over to your chaise on the uncovered deck right next to the patio.
What You Need To Know
Pulling into the drive, notice that you have parking in the garage, as well as on the pad next to it. That extra spot makes a big difference because it means you can pull the car out of the garage without having to move a second vehicle parked behind it in the driveway.
Entry Level
You step into the front living room. The original hardwood floors warm the room and one of the home's large, updated windows provides natural light.
This room can be your TV area or reserved more as a sitting/gathering room if you prefer to lounge in the lower level.
The living room leads to the eat-in kitchen that was given a facelift just a few years ago. This space features a nice backsplash, gas range, space for a table, and the homeowners even added a large built-in pantry
Upper Level
If you follow the hardwood floors up, you find a level with three bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a very large linen closet.
Because all of the rooms are situated around a small center hall, a ceiling fan was added in the hall to provide airflow to the rooms and down to the main level.
Lower Level
The home's largest room (approx. 19' x 12') is found down a few steps from the main level.
This family room/rec room has a couple of windows to the front, laminate flooring, a storage nook, as well as a fireplace. It's a great place to lounge.
Around the corner is where you'll find room for storage, laundry, and access to a half bath.
Backyard
I told you about the cover patio earlier... but I didn't talk about this large fenced-in yard.
You can sit and watch as the dogs run or the little ones play... and keep it all looking tidy thanks to the extra storage provided by the shed.
