Why We Love It
1. Wrap-Around Porch
Ask anyone how they visualize their dream home and (more times than not) they'll begin with a wrap-around porch. It’s an extension of the home that has the ability to welcome guests before you even answer the door. Porches are where we gather to chat with friends over a glass of iced tea or where we read a book while enjoying the warm summer breeze. There is even a deep overhang that keeps you dry while you listen to storm roll in. Are you visualizing a wrap-around front porch on your dream home now? Because we have good news if you are.
2. No Carpet
I had to include this because I personally just ripped up every inch of carpet in my home and I am not going to describe all of the dust and dirt that lived in the carpet pads! I can totally appreciate the fact that this house has luxury vinyl flooring; it's super-durable, waterproof, and animal proof. Another perk is that you change the style of each room by simply adding area rugs to add texture and color.
3. Owner's Suite
This owner's suite will be your personal retreat! It is really spacious and will hold a king bedroom suite easily. I really like the setup of the bathroom and closet areas because it would make getting ready in the mornings easy. The double vanity has lots of lighting (in its own spacious area), the tub and commode are privately tucked away, and there is also a huge walk-in closet and a smaller closet. Rock, paper, scissors for who gets which closet :) Just kidding. We know who is getting it.
What You Need To Know
As I stood on this front porch on Pacific Court, I thought how apt the location was. The Pacific Ocean is known as the world's largest and it was named for its "peaceful" waters; this large wrap-around porch is one of the more peaceful places I've sat and relaxed in a while.
It looks like a house that would be featured in Southern Living magazine. The front door is located around the corner, which I think is a brilliant choice by the designer as it allows the porch to make such a statement by itself.
First Floor
As you step inside, you are greeted by a spacious floorplan with neutral paint and luxury vinyl flooring.
The living room is anchored by a cozy wood-burning fireplace. The brick on the fireplace has been whitewashed to give it a nice facelift.
On your way to the kitchen, you'll pass the half bath. If you look behind the curtain in the half bath, you will find the laundry area. It is really convenient to have laundry on the first floor.
The kitchen features white cabinets, white appliances, and neutral counters. There is a small breakfast nook that combines the kitchen and dining room. This adds a convenient and decorative touch.
The dining room is spacious and overlooks the fenced-in backyard.
Second Floor
Up the wooden staircase, you will find three large bedrooms and two full bathrooms, including your owner's suite.
All of the upstairs has the same luxury vinyl flooring that the first floor has.
Basement
The lower level has one area that is partially finished and this would be a great space for a workout area or an office.
You will also find a ton of storage space down here.
The HVAC, hot water tank, and sump pump are all newer.
Exterior
The fenced backyard is huge.
You will have the perfect spot for a cookout and after dinner, you can sit around a fire.
If you're feeling frisky, the tree in the backyard is the perfect climbing tree!
This house is located in Worthington Schools with Columbus taxes, which makes it very desirable! It is also in very close proximity to lots of restaurants, shopping, and freeways.
